I used a filter plate with 3 plates and tubes (for 50 gallons of tank) powered by Precision PR 2 airpumps 9500 and also have a precision dual overhead filter that uses two submersible pumps drive. seem working well, but this leak is too much? I have fear i would get rid of the nitrates …

There really is no such thing as too much filtration. It there is, is that the leak to take for granted. Continue keeping your tank as you would a filter. the advantage that it increases your skill level in your tank. There is less danger of ammonia poisoning, there is a better water circulation, and will be easier to keep the water stable. I like it!
