Is being "bio-friendly" doing more harm then good?
Forests are clear to make room for corn crop and palm oil. Compact fluorescent light are full of very hazardous chemicals such as mercury, contain a large amount of plastic (oil based) and use more energy to do. Ethenol vehicle emissions have been found to be very bad for your health. There is concern simulate on biodiesel but those studies are still ongoing. The batteries in hybrid cars are full of hazardous chemicals fingure cannot what to do with it. Our intentions are good … but the seams that we are doing more harm then good with our current environmental movement. Should we return to good, clean unleaded gasoline incandescent light bulbs?
Everything is a compromise. It's complicated. Oil will run out someday, so we have to work to find alternatives. Plastic is made from petroleum, but not much is used for that purpose compared to how much we burn for fuel. I am so tired of people Simple minds call stupid, arrogant idiot for not doing X or Y what they say is the solution to all our problems. Only plants and trees to save the world! How can people be stupid? They have no idea what trees really do not. All life and activity in the world is not simple enough to be perfect if only plant trees or make the solar cells or whatever. It's complicated.
