Aquarium Algae

Simple and Effective Solutions for Aquarium Algae
Eradication of encrusting algae could be done simply by periodically scraping the sides of aquarium or washing the rocks.
For those with Plastic Plants and a completely white gravel bed, the situation might be more work, as would necessary to bleach the rocks to remove all traces of algae.
However, if you do this, make sure you rinse the gravel thoroughly afterwards. Bleach is highly toxic, and even small amounts can have a dramatic effect on the Aquarium Fish.
Since the main cause of green algae is too much light. The first step in the treatment program should be light reduction then partial water changes and proper storage with natural Aquarium Plants. A final treatment algae with a resource must ensure the problem is eradicated and is at least hold off for a while.
One of the factors mentioned above is the natural resource use aquatic plants as a means of algae control. This is actually more effective than many people think.
For starters, the luxuriant growth filter plant some of keeping algae under control light. In addition plants absorb a large variety of chemicals in water, bringing algae die hunger of some of their essential nutrients eg nitrates (not nitrites).
Surprising as it may seem, an adequate plant population density is approximately 50 small plants by the square root of available space.
The treatment I mentioned is the use of an algaecide. I emphasize the word "use" is very different to "abuse"!
However, despite this difference, I know that some people still persist in emptying the solution chemistry in your aquarium and expect the problem disappear overnight, even though they have not done anything to alter the conditions in the tank that caused the problem first.
The conditions mentioned above must be attached to any lasting effect to occur! Now that we know how to stop the threat from algae green, in another article I will address is ugly "sister" brown algae (the brown encrusting algae whose case is the opposite of green algae).
