Thanks Melissa, I really do not know how to set the timer Tho in the tank, I "ll ask my uncle, he has been using Salt Water tanks for a while.
Definitely need a RO / DI unit, such as tap water has a lot of things wrong with him. I Tell a refractometer to measure salinity, as hydrometers are inaccurate. Another thing to consider is some kind of controller / thermostat for use with heaters. Heaters can 'stick', roasted in the tank. Units are more expensive and cheapest things. I personally recommend the AquaController Jr, which can used to run 8 things different. This can also be used as a light timer very good too. ReefKeeper, Ranco, are two other types of thermostats to study. I recommend using something, otherwise you may have problems
