Objects painted in acrylic aquarium?
Can you put something in glass or ceramic which I painted with acrylic paints in an aquarium? In addition, I have this dollar store tiki man, labeled "polystone and painted I'm not sure.
No special, is not that the store tiki man U.S. dollars. You must be sure that whatever you put in your tank is safe for fish, and the only way you can do is to buy a decorating shop or pet shop. Not all ceramic materials and plastics are the same. Many of leaching of hazardous metals and chemicals in the water, not no way to prove this. (I've seen things designed for reptiles that is not safe for aquariums, so be sure to read the labels, too, in the pet store.) Even things that are safe to eat out would not be safe if you do not sit in water for a long period of time. Please follow decorated pet store. Tell whether it is safe to fish or not.
